TENSKY TALKS 008 : Tony Romera
France based multi-genre from
house, bass-house & dubstep, Tony Romera are hitting hard with his sound
through many festivals in the world. Catches up by releasing tracks in
Confession, OWSLA, his own label Sans Merci and Insomniac. We managed to catch
Tony Romera self after he doing his set at Djakarta Warehouse Project 2017 last
December.
How
was your feeling after playing at Djakarta Warehouse Project this year ?
Tony
: It was f**king sick. Everytime I came to Indonesia is always sick but this
time, it was perfect. I really love the festival. Djakarta Warehouse Project is
perfect.
Along
2017, you been doing some Asia’s Tour like in Bali and yesterday in Surabaya
too, so hows your Asia Tour summaries ?
Tony
: Everytime I come to Asia, I always had good time in Asia. I love Indonesia.
People in here are so friendly, humble and nice. I had really good time in
here. I spend my holiday before I perform in Bali too. It is really perfect
trip.
This
year, you been releasing so many tracks with Confession, OWSLA in their House
music EP, HOWSLA. How is it feel that you could working with all of them ?
Tony
: That’s crazy because im a big fan of Skrillex for years and its crazy to
signed to this label. OWSLA is the biggest label in the industry. Me &
Tchami were a best friends too, we share many things in music. Im so proud and
it’s a pleasure to work together with OWSLA and Confession.
Tell
us about your side dj duo project, Bellecour.
Tony
: Bellecour is my side project with my best friends, Keeld. We have Bellecour
and working this project together. Its more house-underground thing and we have
lots of fun working on it. We share studio together and we had fun. That’s
crazy. What else could be better than working for that what you love with your
bestfriend.
What’s
the difference between Bellecour & Tony Romera ? What sound that you want to
show to people from this both alias ?
Tony
: Bellecour is really House with more underground things on it & Tony
Romera is more Bass House, big-basses and dubsteps.
What's your plans for the future in 2018 ?
Tony
: I cant say much more but there’s lot big-big things coming. Lots of collabs
and lot of original tunes so I cant wait for 2018. Im so hype for 2018.
Talking
about labels, recently we know about Sans Merci Records and it was one of your projects
too. Tell us about your labels.
Tony
: Sans Merci are my fun projects with my friends. We don’t care about money and
likes in social media. We just having fun to releasing some tracks from friends
in different countries. We just wanna have some fun with releasing music &
tracks. Because sometimes label taking lot of time to release a track and we
had fun, once more haha.
So
its about supporting friends to express and showing their creativity in music
to the people…
Tony
: yea its to support friends and music too.
Who’s
your biggest inspirations in music ?
Tony
: Daft Punk, Justice & DJ Snake is my biggest inspiration in music
electronic. They are so humble and their music are really inspiring me to push
forward for my creations too.
Who’s your dream collaboration if
you given chance to collab ?
Tony : Skrillex & DJ Snake.
