TEN-SKY TALKS #003 : Audrey

Audrey is one of Invert Records roster’s who going deep in future bass & electropop in her path. Ten-sky had an opportunity to meet her and his boyfriend last June chilling out in McDonalds Otista, East Jakarta. We talked about how she getting deep in music produce, her perspective and experiences when she doing her mini-tour around town.

Since when you startin’ focus on music producing ?

I started producing in 2014. In that year, I went straight to DJ School and I didnt take college because something came up and I stay in DJ School. After that, I began to know a thing about producing, thanks to my friends in Invert Records. We do talk much about music and they help me out how to produce music. By the end of 2014 I've started focus on producing. I'm also a newcomer in the business, there is still much to learn.

What instrument that prefer you to use to produce ?

Piano is my weapon haha. I also use Syntheizer too.

From many songs you produce, What song are you most proud & fit with your sound style ?

I like them all haha but I choose my remix for highway dancer song (Audrey remix). Because it's really fit with my soundstyle. Check on my soundcloud for that haha.

Tell us how you can get involved in jrsck-down 4 u remixes.

Oh yeah, JRSCK it's a duo project of Angga Muztang and his friend Opi OSGD. At that time they ask me, Avonturir & Mardial to remix their song, Down 4 U. We do it with having fun at the same time haha.

How do you think about EDM development in Indonesia itself?

It’s very rapid development. However, people still not aware for the diversities on edm music. Today, every radio stations in Indonesian have pop-electronic music to play anywhere and anytime for public. Hopefully local producers never stop to working on their own music. An electronic music that creates good vibe when we doing our routine everywhere.

Last year, youre joining “The Remix” on net.tv as Nuretro with singer, Paul Latumahina. After the show, are you guys working something in Nuretro project?

Yes were still onboard ! Yesterday, we talk about releasing our first single in August. I cant wait to release our first song. Paul also have cool voice, its too bad if we didn’t continue this project. Stay tune in Nuretro !

      Who’s your inspirations ?

90's & 80's RnB songs are my great inspiration. I love Michael Jackson. I also big fan of Shawn Wasabi, Wave Racer and Slushii. Japanese anime’s backsongs are my inspiration too.

Which city you ever visited that has good vibes when youre on deck ?

Purwokerto, I play at Sudirman University at that time I play as Audrey. Crazy party they made if I remember haha.

Any dream collab that you want to do with ?

I want to collaborate with Shawn Wasabi & NAO. NAO is a vocalist who I think she has a unique voice and different from others.
